About Us
Changes is focused on providing practical skill building and therapy in homes schools and child care centres for children aged 2 to 17 years old and their parents. We provide some assessments however our focus is treatment and we will only recommend formal assessments if and when it will help a child’s functioning in a practical way.
Many of our clients also report that they like our team’s solution focused approach to therapy rather than diagnosis and labeling. Many parents told us they were initially not sure about getting support for their child because they didn’t want them diagnosed or labeled with a ‘permanent’ problem or impairment. All our psychologists work on developing children’s and parents awareness skills and perseverance in the face of common and not so common life challenges as we believe most challenges can be overcome or at the very least minimised with some skill building and coaching.
